Welcome to Kindergarten Prep! K-Prep is an advanced Pre-K program designed for children who have completed a 4 year old Pre-K program but are still not quite ready for the rigors of Kindergarten. Our curriculum is a combination of a Pre-K 4 curriculum and the beginning of Kindergarten curriculum.

 

In K-Prep, we concentrate on identifying/printing both upper and lowercase letters, the sound the letter makes and the words that begin with that letter. The class learns to count to 100 by 1s & 10s, as well as learning to pattern, classify and graph, etc. Our science/ social studies units include seasons, safety, holidays and many others but also science experiments such as erupting volcanoes, candy cane science, and creating stem projects. The K-Prep class attends Mass monthly with the schooland works from the Religion Series "Stories of God's Love." We, also, enjoy reading & learning about different bible stories. A lot of our learning is done through Music & Movement and hands on activities.
